Frequently Asked Questions

What language are the courses taught in?

All courses at our affiliated universities are conducted entirely in English. This includes lectures, practical sessions, and all written and oral examinations, ensuring full accessibility for English-speaking students.

Will I be eligible to write the HPCSA board exams upon returning to South Africa?

Yes, absolutely. All of our partner medical universities are internationally accredited, which means graduates are eligible to sit for the HPCSA board exams upon their return to South Africa, provided all academic requirements are met.

I took a gap year. Can I still apply?

Yes, definitely. We welcome students who have taken a gap year—your time away will not negatively impact your application in any way.

Will clinical rotations be conducted in English?

Yes, all clinical rotations are carried out entirely in English, both in patient interactions and academic instruction, ensuring a smooth and professional learning environment.

Do you offer scholarships or bursaries?

Unfortunately, as our partner universities are private institutions, we are unable to offer scholarships or bursaries directly. However, we strongly encourage students to explore external funding opportunities and apply for scholarships independently wherever possible.

How do I apply for my visa?

At MediKraft, we strive to make the transition as seamless as possible. In most cases, we handle the entire visa application process on behalf of our students. If a university requires the student to apply directly, we will provide full guidance and support throughout the process.

How do I find suitable student accommodation?

MediKraft offers dedicated student housing options in select countries, specifically arranged for South African students. This helps create a familiar and supportive environment, allowing you to feel at home while adapting to a new country.

Can I apply for nursing, dentistry, or other health-related programmes through MediKraft?

Currently, we only specialise in medical school placements for MBBS/MD programmes. We do not offer recruitment for nursing, dentistry, or other allied health fields.

Do you accept transfer students from other medical schools?

Unfortunately, we do not accept transfer students from other medical institutions. All applicants must begin their studies as new entrants.

Are only South African students eligible to apply?

No, while we are proudly based in South Africa and specialise in helping South African students, we welcome applicants from around the world.

Are practical classes included, and will I receive sufficient hands-on training?

Yes, practical training is an integral part of the curriculum. Most programmes include laboratory practicals from first year, with clinical rotations starting as early as second year, ensuring extensive hands-on exposure throughout your studies.
